- Tryouts for men's Ice Hockey in the Empire State
Games are by invitation only. Players will be scouted
during the school hockey season. After the
school/club hockey season ends, up to 60 skaters
plus goalies will be invited to an on-ice tryout
to be held in the spring in their respective regions.
From this tryout a team will be selected to represent
their region at the Games.
- To be guaranteed
a scout visit players must signup to be scouted by
mailing the
Scouting Request Form
and playing schedule
to the regional contact by December 31, 2009.
See below for details for your region.
- Players may send a
Scouting Request Form after December 31, 2009,
however there is no guarantee that they will be
evaluated by a scout if the form is mailed after
12/31/09.
- Players must provide their own equipment, including
approved helmets, mouth guards, pants, pads sticks
and skates.
- Scout visits to prospective players are
unannounced and as a matter of course, scouts
may not always introduce themselves to the
coaching staff and/or parents.
- Players invited to the on-ice tryout will be
provided with instructions as to how to register
online to confirm their attendance at the tryout.
