TRACK & FIELD (ATHLETICS)

Decathlon - Open Men and Scholastic Men
Heptathlon - Open Women and Scholastic Women

Eligibility: To determine if you are eligible for this sport you must read the  NEW Eligibility Rules.

Rules: USA Track & Field Rules to govern event.

Regional Tryout format:  Athletes must compete at the Regional Track meet.

Regional Team: Each region will bring the first place finisher in each event to the Finals.
The second place finisher must meet a qualifying standard to qualify for the Finals.

Note: Athletes will need to indicate their best previous year's performance for their events when registering.

Order of Events:

Day One:

Decathlon:  100M Dash, Long Jump, Shot Put, High Jump, 400M Dash

Heptathlon: 100M Hurdles, Shot Put, High Jump, 200M Dash

Day Two:

Decathlon: 110M Hurdles, Discus, Pole Vault, Javelin, 1500M Run

 

Heptathlon: Long Jump, Javelin, 800M Run

Qualifying Standards – Open & Scholastic Divisions

Athletes who finish second at the regional trials must meet the qualifying standard noted below to qualify for the finals.  In addition, all alternates must also meet these qualifying standards in order to be eligible for the finals.
Key: OM = Open Men; SM = Scholastic Men; OW = Open Women; SW = Scholastic Women
