Open Division - Men & Women

Scholastic Division - Men & Women

Eligibility: This sport is offered in the Scholastic Division and Open Division; to determine if you are eligible for either of these divisions you must read the  Eligibility Rules.

Tryout Registration Fee: $10.00 Non-Refundable.  You must register online before attending the tryout.

Rules:
Men :  Regional Tryouts, as well as Finals, will be governed by the current Official High School Boy's Gymnastics Rules published by NFSHSA. 
Exception for Men: Gymnast will perform two vaults, better counts for score. For Scholastic Division, USAG J.O. Equipment Specs will be allowed. The top seven (7) athletes from the Regional Trials in each Division (Open & Scholastic) will qualify for Finals.

Women:  USAG rules to govern event. Regional Trials, as well as Finals, will be conducted by Level 10 rules.
Open Division: athlete must perform two different vaults at the Finals.

Regional Tryout Format:  Gymnasts must attend a Regional Tryout competition.
Note for Men:  An athlete eligible for the Scholastic Division may tryout for the Open Division, but must declare for the Open Division prior to start of the Regional qualifier and must score a minimum of 33.00 points at a the regional qualifier to qualify for the Finals.
Note for Women:  All Scholastic women and Open women Gymnasts will tryout together at the Regional Trial. Of the top 14 athletes at the Regional Trial, the top 7 will compete at the Finals in the Open Division, and the next 7 will compete at the Finals in the Scholastic Division. However, participants aged 18 (as of August 31, 2010) and older must finish in the top 7 at the Regional Trial to qualify for the Finals.
