CANOE/KAYAK

Open Division - Men & Women

Eligibility: To determine if you are eligible for this sport you must read the  NEW Eligibility Rules.

Rules: United States Canoe & Kayak rules will apply with exception of the event size and progression. Only traditional flatwater canoe and kayaks allowed, paddled in the traditional manor (i.e.: double blade for kayaks and single blade in the high-kneeled position for Canadian Canoe.)

Tryout Format: Regional Trials will consist competition with K1 & C1 boats. *Participants must meet the Qualifying Times (QT) listed below in one of these boats at the regional trials to qualify for the Finals.  Participants must provide their own equipment.

Regional Team:  *Participants must meet the Qualifying Times (QT) listed below in one of these boats at the regional trials to qualify for the Finals.  Each region will bring 12 athletes to the finals. The team will consist of 4 each of the following: Men Kayak, women Kayak and either male or female Canoe paddlers. All paddlers must qualify in the class of Canoe or Kayak that they are to race at the Finals.
