Games Set for Online Registration for Summer Games
The Empire State Games has a new online athlete registration program. The system will be in place for this year's Summer Games, beginning with registration for Open and Scholastic Division regional tryouts. The Masters Division participants will also register online. Please visit the Summer Games home page for information and instructions.

New Eligibility Rules for 2008 ESG
The Empire State Games has instituted new rules for participant eligibility for the Open and Scholastic Divisions.

Specifically, the new division eligibility rules are:
Open Division: any participant who is age 18 years and older as of August 31, 2008.
Scholastic Division: any participant who is age 17 years and younger as of August 31, 2008.

In addition, some ESG sports require participants to be a minimum age of at least 13 years as of April 30, 2008 to tryout and attend the finals.  These sports are: Baseball, Basketball, Field Hockey, Ice Hockey, Judo, Lacrosse, Soccer, Softball, Volleyball, and Wrestling.

Mid-Hudson Valley to Host 2009 Empire State Summer Games
The 32nd Hugh L. Carey Empire State Games will be held in Dutchess, Orange and Ulster Counties from July 22 to July 26, 2009. The Games will return to the Mid-Hudson Valley, where they were held in 2005. ( View the Complete Press Release )
