2010 Empire State Games
Masters Volleyball
Men & Women
Eligibility:
1. Participants must be residents of New York State.
2. Participants must have reached their designated age group as of July 24,
2010.
3. Participants must attend the regional masters tryout and be selected to a
team.

Fee: $10.00 Non-Refundable tryout

An additional $30 will be
collected from each player who is named to the finals roster.
(The additional $30 fee will be collected by Coach after the team has been
selected.)
Competition Format:
- Three Masters Divisions: Women 30+, Men 35+, Men 45+
- Maximum of six teams, per division.
The top team from each division for both men and women
per region is reserved a position in the competition. Additional 'At Large'
teams for each age group may be accepted based upon the total numbers of regional
teams participating in each division.
Entries: You may register online until 24 hours prior to the date of the tryout, or you may simply go to the tryout site (walkup entry) and signup on the day of the tryout. It is strongly recommended that you register online prior to the tryout.
Rosters: Are limited to 12 players per team and up to 4 alternates. Any roster changes must be submitted in writing and received at the ESG Masters Office no later than 1:00pm on Friday, July 16, 2010. Fees may be transferred to cover alternate players, whose name(s) must be included on the originally submitted roster, no refunds will be granted.

Empire State Games Regions:
Listed below are the regions of the Games and the counties which make up
the region. Athletes tryout in the region in which they reside.
ADIRONDACK REGION: Counties of:
Albany, Clinton, Columbia, Essex, Franklin, Fulton, Greene, Hamilton, Montgomery,
Saratoga, Schoharie, Schenectady, St. Lawrence, Rensselaer, Warren, and Washington.
If your legal residence is in one of these counties, you are a member
of the Adirondack Region.
CENTRAL REGION: Counties of: Broome,
Cayuga, Chemung, Chenango, Cortland, Delaware, Herkimer, Jefferson, Lewis, Madison,
Oneida, Onondaga, Oswego, Otsego, Schuyler, Tioga, and Tompkins.
If your legal residence is in one of these counties, you are a member
of the Central Region.
HUDSON VALLEY REGION: Counties of:
Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Sullivan, Ulster, and Westchester.
If your legal residence is in one of these counties, you are a member
of the Hudson Valley Region.
LONG ISLAND REGION: Counties of:
Nassau, and Suffolk.
If your legal residence is in one of these counties, you are a member
of the Long Island Region.
NEW YORK CITY REGION: Counties (or
boroughs) of: Bronx, Kings (Brooklyn), New York (Manhattan), Queens, and
Richmond (Staten Island).
If your legal residence is in one of these counties/boroughs, you are
a member of the New York City Region.
WESTERN REGION: Counties of: Allegany,
Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Niagara, Ontario,
Orleans, Seneca, Steuben, Wayne, Wyoming, and Yates.
If your legal residence is in one of these counties, you are a member
of the Western Region.
