The following information is for those who have qualified
for the New York City Region in the 2008 Empire State Games.
Please read the information below carefully as it contains important information
you will need to know for the Finals in Binghamton NY July 23 - 27.
TRANSPORTATION:
The regional buses will be leaving for the Games on Wednesday morning, July
23rd. Please report at 7:30 AM to the school auditorium at: Bishop Ford
High School, 500 19th Street (Corner of 19th Street and Prospect Park West)
Brooklyn, New York 11215. All buses will travel non-stop to
Binghamton University and SUNY Cortland. The trip should take between 3
1/2 hours to 4 ½ hours depending on traffic. No lunch will be provided on
the bus or campus where you will be housed. We strongly suggest that you
bring a bag lunch to hold you over to dinnertime. Dinner will be served
at the campus where you will be housed, earlier than usual to prepare and
travel to opening ceremonies.
MEALS:
Participants will be provided with Breakfast and Dinner
in the dining halls on the campus they will reside on. Please check
the Games Plan (which you will be given at Registration) for Dining hall
hours and locations on the campus at which you are staying. Your first
meal on campus will be dinner on Wednesday, July 23.
REGISTRATION and HOUSING:
All participants and coaches must in their assigned rooms by the
midnight curfew.
All Participants will be required to show a Photo ID to register for
their room.

CHECK OUT & DEPARTURE:
Times and locations for checking out and returning your room keys will be
posted in the residence halls. All participants that accept university
housing must return their keys upon departure.
